- I am a wife, mother, and a runner. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and two precious children whom I adore. I'm currently training for a marathon in January (my first!), so I am definitely treading on new territory, but loving every minute of it. I am truly blessed!

Pearls of Wisdom from the mouth of Ashlyn
- "I don't want worms in my cocoa!", what Ashlyn said after I told her I'd make her some 'warm' cocoa.
- "I can't be quiet. I'm too loud."

- After being told that she couldn't have a cookie until they were done 'baking' in the oven, "I don't want a 'bacon' cookie, I want one with chocolate chips."

HOW FUNNY! Yall always dress up!!!
We are actually dressed up in our Halloween costumes for an early Halloween party that Jason's mom had at her house (it was scheduled so early because Glenda is in a play the other weekends in October). What's funny about this pic is that I dressed up as a 'Black-eye Pea' (get it--the 'P' on my shirt with the black eye), and Layton is dressed up as a boxer. I didn't even realize how the picture looked until I saw it later--it looks like he beat me in a boxing match (totally unintentional picture, but funny nevertheless!)
I am so glad that I found your blog. Your kids are adorable. I have a Layton also. We named him after my father-in-law. I did not know that you all were living in Texas. We just moved from Dallas in August. I am going to add your blog to our list so I can keep up with you all. Amy Cox McCown
